Nearly 48% of corporate employees are struggling with mental health issues. 🤯 These numbers published in the May 2023 issue of The Economic Times are shocking. Most employees feel they don't have a work-life balance, which affects their mental health. As a young woman entrepreneur and professional who travels frequently and also has a child, maintaining a work-life balance has been a crucial aspect of my life. Today, on World Mental Health Day, I am sharing my best tips on work-life balance and how it has helped me maintain my mental peace: 📍Prioritising Family Time: Family always comes first for me. I make it a point to spend quality time with my child and partner. Whether it's scheduling dedicated family days or simply being present during meal times and school appointments, this ensures that I stay connected with my loved ones despite my busy schedule. 📍Effective Time Management: It’s the key to balancing work and life. I use tools and strategies to plan my days meticulously, allocating specific blocks of time for everything. This helps me make the most of every moment and minimizes stress. 📍Delegating Responsibilities: I've learned the importance of delegation in my professional and personal life. I trust my team okto handle tasks at work, empowering them to take ownership. At home, I share responsibilities with my partner and rely on a support network of trusted individuals, like caregivers or family members. 📍Self-Care Routine: Taking care of my physical and mental well-being is non-negotiable. I prioritize self-care activities such as regular exercise, reading, and hobbies that I enjoy. These practices help me stay focused, reduce stress, and maintain my mental peace. 📍Regular Communication: Open and honest communication with my partner, child, and support network is vital. It ensures that everyone is on the same page and helps address any concerns or adjustments needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Maintaining a work-life balance has not only benefited my mental peace but also enhanced my overall well-being. It allows me to be a more effective entrepreneur and professional while also being a present and loving mother and partner.
