22... This is the minimum number of Veterans that we know about that are losing the battle with their demons every day. That means so far this year we have lost over 4,000 great Americans that didn't think their lives mattered anymore. The truth is, their life did matter, but the demons made them think otherwise. This needs to end. They need to know that they have more to offer to this world. That they have more fellow Veterans that they can help pull up out of the dark place they were once in. This is one of the major reasons that The Veterans Ranch was formed. To offer FREE equine therapy services to these amazing people, and to help them start to lay down heavy coats of burden and start to walk off as new and improved versions of themselves. You may ask yourself, how can I help with that? I don't have any Veterans in my family. Isn't that what the VA is for? Here is how you can help. You and 22 other people can go to www.theveteransranch.org and contribute just $22 a month. For the cost of a pizza or a burger and fries you CAN help people that you don't even know start to turn their lives around through the power of God's majestic animal the horse. Just .73 cents a day is all that it takes to make an impact. So, we are asking that just 22 people go to the website, contribute $22 a month so that 22 people live today. So that 22 families and friends aren't asking why or what could I have done. Be one of the 22 today that says I did something important to help Veterans today. With this investment, we begin the journey to secure a permanent home that continues to provide a safe and welcoming space for horses and humans alike. Bridle Paths cares for our horses for their lifetimes, and our program is only as safe and effective as our horses are happy, healthy, and comfortable. For that reason, we are vigilant to ensure that each horse receives the care, training, and support needed to participate willingly and appropriately in the programs that Bridle Paths offers. We are committed to the sacred work of creating a space of both physical and emotional safety for those with invisible injuries such as post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injuries, self harm, and suicidal ideation - a safe space where people can be vulnerable, and can reclaim the power associated with being fully seen, heard, and understood. The effects of our work are profound. Consider the comments of two veterans who attended a recent program at the farm: "I have PTSD, and usually I don't leave my house. In the month of December [when my trauma occurred], I don't even leave my room. I took a chance coming out here, and right away I felt safe and welcome. I understand that horse. We're both walking the perimeter, making sure things are safe. We stand apart, where we can see everything. We can't get close until we know it's OK." "This is holy ground.
