🌏Happy Earth Day 👷♀️ Since 2015, more than to $11 billion has been invested in 54 large-scale renewable energy projects now operating, committed or under construction across the state. 💚Recently, the Queensland Government committed to achieving renewable energy targets of 75% by 2035 and net zero by 2050. 💡To support a greener future, a boost from $2 billion to $4.5 billion into the Queensland Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Jobs Fund has been made by the Queensland Government. The Village of McFarland's new Public Safety Center is one of the first projects in the nation to receive IRA tax credits for geothermal energy, which contributed significantly to the development of a net zero building. HGA's Net Zero Energy Study provided critical insights into the logistics, costs, and design implications, ensuring the building's optimal energy efficiency. With 51 geothermal wells and solar panels producing up to 470kW of photovoltaic energy, the McFarland Public Safety Center exemplifies sustainability. The IRA tax credits for renewable energy, available for the first time for projects integrating geothermal and solar, have made this net-zero project substantially more cost-effective, serving as a model for future energy-efficient projects nationwide. The launch of **Malaysia's LSS 5 (Large-Scale Solar 5)** program is a huge step forward in the country’s push for more renewable energy. This new phase will boost solar power capacity and create exciting opportunities for businesses and the environment.

JA Solar partners with CEEC for the 1.25GW Abydos Phase II PV-Storage Project, Africa’s largest solar and battery storage system. Spanning 20 sq. km, it will generate 3,000 GWh annually, powering 500,000 homes and reducing CO₂ emissions by over 1M tons. With the recent FER X incentives approved by Brussels, Italy is advancing its renewable energy transition with a clear focus on distributed generation (DG). The 3 GW allocated to projects up to 1 MW reflects the pivotal role DG plays in driving innovation, decentralization, and sustainability across the country. This is more than a milestone—it’s a commitment to a smarter, greener, and more resilient energy future. Sirio Wind , based in Foggia, has been a pioneer in renewable energy from the beginning, demonstrating how distributed generation with small 1-2 MW plants can drive progress.
