🌟 Reflections on Growing at Haleon Week 🌟 What an incredible week it's been! I’m thrilled to share some key takeaways and actions from Growing at Haleon Week. Being in London with inspiring speakers and engaging sessions has been a game-changer. ✨ Here’s what I’m taking away from this transformative experience: Embrace Curiosity: I discovered three new resources from our partner organizations that I’m excited to share with my team. Looking forward to discussing these at our next team meeting. 📚💡 Boost Collaboration: We’re integrating the Aperia platform to enhance our cultural collaboration for a new project. I’m eager to see how this pivot will impact our team dynamics and effectiveness. 🤝🌍 Develop Communication Skills: I’ve picked an abstract from a book to refine my communication. Additionally, I’ve committed to a weekly LinkedIn post to elevate my external presence and network. 📖📝 Step Out of Comfort Zones: The Growing at Haleon Week competition pushed me to share more openly and challenge myself. It’s amazing how stepping outside our comfort zones can lead to growth! 🚀💪 Self-Discovery and Reflection: I’m on a mission to identify my superpower with feedback from my colleagues by October's end. Also, I’ve started a new section in my daily journal to focus on mindset and productivity. 🔍🧠 Team Efficiency: I’ve initiated discussions with my team on how we can improve our pace and work more effectively together. 🏃♂️💼 Expanded Network: I had the pleasure of meeting four new colleagues, expanding my network and gaining fresh perspectives. 🌐🤗 Looking forward, I’m excited to continue developing myself and seeking opportunities to help others achieve their full potential. This week has clearly demonstrated that by taking ownership and making small, proactive changes, we can have a significant impact. This week, we hosted a virtual all-staff meeting at D'Ieteren, and I couldn't be more proud of the incredible teamwork and engagement from everyone involved. 10 of our talented colleagues took the stage, while another 10 worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. We spent an hour discussing key topics and answering live questions from our colleagues. It was truly inspiring to see hundreds of you online, actively participating and sharing your thoughts. This event was a fantastic way to wrap up the first semester of the year, and it's clear that this won't be the last time we come together like this. Thank you to everyone who made this possible and to all who joined us. Here's to many more successful and collaborative sessions ahead!

Happy new year everybody! 🎉 And welcome to the first #learningOfTheWeek in 2024. 😁 While preparing kick off events for several teams which took place this week, I consulted the Tuckman model developed in 1965 by Bruce Tuckman, consisting of 4 stages which are forming, storming, norming and performing. Later, a fifth stage "adjourning" was added. However, all teams start at the *forming* phase. In this phase, the talents of the team just met. There are a lot of unknowns about the purpose of the team, the mission, how collaboration might work, etc.. Everyone reacts different in such situations and it is important to take everyone with you on the journey. ⛵ As this was the first time I actively applied the Tuckman model, my key learning was how helpful the model is and how well the kick off events went. For each team, I created an overview containing answers to the following questions: - Why are we here? - What is the greater goal? - Who is in my team and which roles do they have? - What are my responsibilities? - Where can I get help? - What are the first goals in the next two weeks? - What are the goals in the next three months? Being a part of an organization is tough. You have to maintain the culture and vibe of the workspace, be on the same page with everyone irrespective of their difference in opinions, and above all, fight tooth and nail against everyone who thinks you are a waste of time, ESPECIALLY when you're making waves, and all eyes are on you, like carrying a bullseye on your back. Hence, no wonder why many organizations crumble before they can even begin. And even if they do survive, there is often very little to salvage from. However, being a Founders' Friday lead at EdVenture Park has taught me that, with the right people and the right mindset, it is still possible to make it all happen. Organizing THE flagship event of EVP every month, launching companies into the market, bringing in quality crowd, changing the conversations, these are some of the few things that are improbable, but not impossible. When you believe in something hard enough, the dots will connect on their own, and you'll find your path in due time. Is it very tough? YESSSS. Will we still make it happen? We had a mix of activities lined up - starting with a workshop, followed by thoughtful conversations about our vision and direction. The day wrapped up with an exciting scavenger hunt and a team tour around Copenhagen harbor.
