Some of the stories shared in "Ripple of Change" really hit close to home. We have a close family friend who was recently diagnosed with very aggressive metastatic breast cancer and this is one of the most difficult pieces of news to receive. A story shared in the book brought my mind immediately to our friend. ⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️⚕️ Patients need our honesty and transparency, no matter how difficult it may be. I just got my annual mammogram earlier this month because the American Cancer Society reminded me that women over age 40 should be screened annually. I encourage each of you to consider the cancer screenings you need in 2024 and get your appointments scheduled for the new year now! Remember, regular screening increases the chances of detecting certain cancers early, before cancer has a chance to spread.
