Do you find hospitals a bit dreary in terms of light? The Eatery in Altru’s new hospital will provide you with a new, bright experience! ☀️ Altru’s new hospital will be markedly different than its current one in the amount of natural light flowing through the building, allowing you - our patients, guests, and team members - to slow your breath and quiet your minds while appreciating the green of the trees, the brightness of natural light, and the calm that comes with nature. Coming early 2025, you will be able to enjoy a terrific meal in this large, beautiful space with a view of the terraced patio outside its windows. For more information about our new hospital, check out altru.org/future.

Really looking forward to this round table, where we'll be talking about, amongst other things, what our new government should be focusing on (hint: it's investment in technology and as Amanda Pritchard said, re-imagining how to do things differently!)
As we draw closer to our round table event, we are super excited to be welcoming our attendees to share their experiences on hospital efficiency in the current climate. A couple of tickets have just become available due to cancellations - please email info@realworld.health or click the link below to sign up, join the conversation, and enjoy a complimentary lunch on us! https://lnkd.in/exZqF9i3 Richard Parker Scott Fletcher Joseph Frost Andrew Bucknor Jamie Papasavvas

MD, PhD (Dr es Science) EMBA Fondat./founder at SERENITE-Forceville, Former Head of ICU Dept, (Anc. Chef de Service), Anesthesiologist, Intensivist, Nutritionist (Anesthésisite Réa., Réanimateur, Nutritioniste) INSERM
Fantastic congress. But did you know wath intensive care (ICU) are? It cost 5% of hospital budget, avoid preventable death, allow patients to survive due to support of failing organes (brain, cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, hepatic, hematologic, intestinal functions). The cost of ICU ist at 70% related to the salaries of the multiple people working in as a complementary team. They work day and night for the surviving of patients and accompanying families and nearby. Sepsis is at the heart of intensive care. It cost an half of ICU budget and is the main cause of death. Despite ICU the mortality of sepsis remains between 20 to 50% depending on its gravity. Each year in France (68 millions inhabitants) the equivalent of a town like Lorient, France (# 57 000 people) died from sepsis despite ICU care. Sepsis cause 1 death/5 WHO. It cause much suffering and cost 0.5% of US GDP. #sepsis, #survivingsepsis #sepsisalliance #sepsisawareness
🎬 Curtain falls on another outstanding congress! Thanks to all participants & experts for your engagement in our multidisciplinary #IntensiveCare discussions & educational activities during #LIVES2023 & for your commitment to keep improving our patients & families care. See you in Barcelona next year for #LIVES2024! #WeAreICU #TogetherICU #IntensiveCare #CriticalCare #LIVES2023

As a Critical Access Hospital, we are required to complete an annual review to be compliant with federal regulations and conditions of participation. More importantly, as a local hospital, it's important to us that we are transparent with our community and share information about our successes and opportunities for improvement. That's why we're making our Critical Access Hospital Annual Report public and why we're sharing it with you. This report includes information about our service volume, type of service, trends, concerns, accomplishments, and more. This report is used by our Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to develop action plans, identify opportunities for improvement, and recognize our successes.
