Six in 10 patients prepared to pay for diagnostics - Patients Association - Health & Protection (https://lnkd.in/eJmZi8ff) A recent study into patient attitudes towards diagnostic tests has revealed that 2/3rds of patients would be prepared to pay for tests that they need. Patients explained that they wanted to better understand why they were being referred for tests and what tests they needed but they also wanted clearer communication around how long it would take for these tests to be done and results to be produced. The frustrations caused by the poor communication and ‘not knowing’ resulted in 34% reporting an physical or mental health declines while waiting for tests. Delays also negatively affected work, family and long term recovery for many patients.
