STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON THE SUMMIT OF THE FUTURE CONFERENCE. With the invitation from Ministry of Finance and National Planning, #mofnp, Lusaka-Zambia I was privileged to be part of stakeholder engagement meeting on consultations on preparation for the summit of the future and I was privileged to do a presentation. The summit of the future conference is scheduled to take place in New York,United States of America 🇺🇸.this summit will create a critical platform that will address development challenges and propose sustainable solutions for the future generation. Following are the focus areas that were discussed in relation to Zambia 🇿🇲 : -Sustainable development and financing for development. -International peace and security. -Science, Technology and Innovation and Digital cooperation -Youth and future generations.

At DIPA (Deborah's Impact Projects Africa), we believe that transformative change happens through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts. Our engagement with the private sector has been equally encouraging. Meeting with the CEO Stephen Asiimwe of the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), which is the apex body representing businesses in the private sector in Uganda and also the larger East African Community, was truly a success. What I love about the private sector in Uganda and East Africa is their openness to collaboration and their understanding that transformation requires collective effort. Their commitment to enhancing economic growth while maintaining strong partnerships demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to development. This collaboration between government, private sector, and development partners showcases how multi-stakeholder partnerships can create lasting impact in our communities. Together, we are not just training youth - we are building a sustainable ecosystem for digital innovation and economic growth in Uganda and beyond.

Intellectual property plays a crucial role in the journey to attaining the Sustainable Development Goals. Thus, the theme of the World Intellectual Property Day 2024 is very relevant — "IP and the SDGs: Building our common future with innovation and creativity. Our latest article in our Intellectual Property Series brings this conversation home to Nigeria.
