As part of its Industry 4.0 transformation journey, Alba is leveraging Virtual Reality (VR) in multiple training programmes starting with the ‘Potlines Emergencies’ programme which will equip reduction line operators and supervisors with the essential skills to handle emergencies safely and effectively.   Developed in a six-month collaboration with Atyaf eSolutions, the VR programme offers a realistic training environment where trainees can practice their responses to various reduction line emergencies, including tap outs, power outages, open circuits, and alumina supply failures. This immersive experience improves decision-making and reinforces critical safety protocols.   Alba plans to expand its VR training initiatives throughout the year, spanning additional operational areas like Casthouses, Carbon Plants, and Power Stations. This comprehensive VR strategy will ensure a well-rounded training experience across all operational facilities. #VR #Training #CapacityBuilding
