"Places of training, schools of medicine, public health nursing, etc, have a moral obligation to train the next generation of trainees better." - Dr. Ndidiamaka Amutah Onukagha, CEO & Founder of ACES Our #WomenWednesday highlight goes to an incredibly special figure in the public health world, ACES very own founder Dr.Amutah Onukagha, as she gave remarks closing out National Minority Health Month (NMHM), a critical time to spotlight the need to improve health outcomes in minority communities and eliminate bias. But where does this transformation begin? Where does the responsibility lie? At a recent #BirthingJustice screening, our CEO and Founder reminded us that eradicating bias necessitates empowering the next generation of trainees. "We have a moral obligation," she asserts, "to educate the next generation of trainees better." The ACES firm advocates for prioritizing equitable frameworks and championing bodily autonomy within educational institutions and healthcare systems to propel minority health forward. Join us in commemorating NMHM by taking proactive strides toward crafting a future where every individual's autonomy is honored and upheld. Together, let's construct a healthcare education system that not only fosters empowerment and equity but also reveres the diverse communities it serves. #MinorityHealthMonth #EmpoweringFutureGenerations #ACESForALL

The evolution of practice learning as explored by Juliet Borwell with our NHS Kent & Medway Practice educator network. The context of where we have come with educating the workforce, and in our roles in developing the future student Nurses and AHPs. 'When i trained'...'in my day'...'i remember when'...are historical experiences, lets not allow these to be restrictive of our future education. Developing our educators to challenge the status quo, step outside of the 'this is how we have always done it'. Evolution implies change and growth, and reflects the progression in practice and delivery of education. We need to educate and adapt to ensure we develop health and social care professionals for the future. Evolution & growth, lets not stand still.

We love to showcase innovation in healthcare that can reduce costs or improve patient care. Here is one cool innovation that is less about those topics and more about sustaining healthcare for the future. It doesn’t cost much and offers many benefits. A growing number of states are offering healthcare education programs that equip young people with valuable skills that can open doors to career opportunities in healthcare. Just this week, Alabama was the latest state to join this trend with an announcement of a new healthcare high school that will offer a tuition-free public education and provide skills to create job opportunities for students in Alabama. For hospitals, these programs help address an acute and growing need for trained personnel both today, and going forward to meet the growing volume demand for care. What a great win/win. https://lnkd.in/gaJTVdXG

Do you feel Health Care is not delivering? Do you think our Education Professional, Health Care (Medical Dental Nursing), Secondary and Higher Studies is not up to the mark? Is our education facing problems like Non-Equity, Limited Life Time Learning, Non-integrated, similar to all (diversity non-compliant) and non-planned for experiential learning? Are we focussing more on remembering, recalling, and retrieving memory-based education and assessment, rather than problem-solving, analysis, synthesis, and coherence? Well, we have a solution--Go for Evidence Based Education System. visit--Https://https://lnkd.in/dCVCi94C

We need to move beyond focussing only on Adult Learning Principles in patient/family health education. Nurses and HPs need to help people develop capabilities in thinking, reasoning and problem-solving (Cognitive Learning Principles) as they learn how to self manage their health conditions.
