Freelance Analyst & Project Manager for complex IT and business projects • 15y in solving high complex and chaotic situations
Stakeholders are / can be the lifeblood of our project. But they can also block your (corporate) project without your knowing it. They are the individuals, groups or entities that have a positive or negative interest in the project's outcome. From executives and team members to clients and end-users, stakeholders bring diverse perspectives, expectations and requirements to the table. Sometimes they support your project, sometimes not. So, a comprehensive stakeholder analysis is not just a one-time checkbox in the beginning of the project - It is a dynamic, ongoing process that supports decision-making, project direction, organizational understanding, and ensures that the project aligns with the needs / expectations. Understanding the stakeholder landscape is also a source for potential unclear agendas and underlying cultural challenges. The approved problem statement and scope might make sense to the requester, the sponsor and the steerco. But what about the both "loud" and "silent" operational people in the organization - do they support the project? From working with complex corporate projects for a numbers of years, I would say that the bigger the impact on ways-of-working (for both individuals and groups), the higher the importance for ongoing stakeholder analyses throughout the project life-cycle. How to understand the stakeholders and the hierarchy surrounding the problem : https://lnkd.in/dQXsSrPB #businessanalysis #pmo #processes #projectmanagement

In one of my recent projects, we faced a significant challenge: the stakeholders had unclear and constantly shifting requirements. This caused delays and confusion among the development team. To address the issue, I initiated a series of structured workshops to gather detailed requirements. I also implemented real-time documentation and shared updates immediately after each session to ensure everyone was aligned. As a result, we reduced back-and-forth discussions, and the project timeline was brought back on track. Clear communication and structured collaboration allowed us to deliver a product that met the client’s expectations. #ProblemSolving #BusinessAnalysis #ProjectManagement #StakeholderManagement Abhishake B Kumaran Elavarasan

Plan is a word disliked by the #Agile-ists. Because missunderstood. One underestimated phase of the #Businessanalysis is the #Plan of the #approach and the #method , allongside with the other two phases, the stakeholder engagement and the governance of the business analysis. Approach, from latin, would mean “to get closer”. While method, “after” and “walk”, aka the actual process in conducting a research, investigation, by processing information and dragging inferences on the identified bites of data. Get closer by walking is one of the 3 phases of the Business Planning! A really crucial phase when we will happen to experience a Product Manager providing the needs, a Domain Subject Matter Expert necessitating to understand whether the change is realistic, a Sponsor providing objectives, aka the change, and relating you with the stakeholders. At #Amdaris we do actualize #planning of #method and #approach. We do the walk to get closer. Let’s journey! Credits to #Babook
