Unlocking American lithium resources will be a significant economic boom for the United States in the 21st century. Reject concentrate from desalination could serve as an ample supply of minerals to extract lithium and mitigate substantial environmental risks inherent to reject disposal. We must assign value to such lithium and develop a commodity market, such as price per lb. Goldman Sachs, or any other significant investment bank, could perform such a task. Lilac Solutions should co-locate its technology with desalination plants to utilize the reject fully. Once-thru power plants are aging rapidly. Perhaps Lilac could retrofit one (or more) of those.

Constantly falling #lithium prices have slowed the expansion pace of market players. Another very interesting article on DLE. Are there any publicly available technical details on how effective ILiAD DLE is at extracting lithium and rejecting impurities present in raw brines it’s tested from around the world? What’s the concentration multiple of lithium in mg/L in the post-DLE LiCl eluate compared to the raw brine? What’s the reduction multiple of impurities in mg/L in the post-DLE LiCl eluate compared to the raw brine? Two recent examples show: 🔘 237 mg/L Li in raw brine vs 301 mg/L in LiCl eluate. 🔘 269 mg/L Li in raw brine vs 2,280 mg/L in LiCl eluate. I’d love to see benchmarking of DLE to allow such comparisons.

European homegrown battery producer, ACC, today announced it was halting works on, and postponing new battery projects across the continent in response to revised demand outlooks. Alongside SVOLT's news regarding its now cancelled factory in Lauchhammer, Germany, Benchmark Mineral Intelligence has seen 96 GWh of planned European cell capacity pushed beyond the 2030 pipeline in May and June alone. Our analysis, including focused use of satellite imagery and geospatial techniques, highlights a global wave of cancelled and stalled battery cell production projects across 2024, with further market consolidation expected to persist across the second half of the year.
