Ouch! Applying for hourly work shouldn't be this complicated... The #futurefowork is rapidly changing which means employers need to meet the labor market where it's at. Let's say this job at Kendra Scott pays $20 per hour. For the sake of simplicity, round up the application time to 15 minutes. This job application costs a prospective employee the equivalent of $5 in labor time. And that's for a job that's been posted for 30+ days. Who knows if they're even still trying to fill it. If you're an employer struggling to find talent -- or pure labor -- simplify your recruitment process. It's that simple.

A past Hump Day Quickie of mine relates quite well with this share from @frankbenzo Hump Day Quickie $50-$75K is not a starting salary for a Mid-Senior role or a fair starting salary for anyone with more than 5 years professional experience. That range won't even get someone a 1-bedroom apartment in a shady neighborhood. Inflation is high, groceries cost too much, fuel is expensive, etc. Also, most companies are doing just fine. Part of Sustainability is providing your employees with a livable wage.

I keep hearing employers saying they're passing on candidates because they have a side job. You need to get over this. The average salary needed in the US to live comfortably and put a small bit into savings is almost 100k. In many states, it's more. Newsflash: nearly everyone has a side job and is scraping by at best. You don't control what someone does on their own time. You don't own people. You pay them to work a schedule for you. Why is 50-plus hours per week not enough? "Full focus" just means "We work you 24 hours a day because our business model is broken and we make money by running short-staffed." No one is going to be available to you 24 hours per day, period. The staffing problem isn't finding people, it's changing the mindset of what you require from them. #culture #culturechange #culturematters #business #hiring #hiringpractices

📈 Factoring Cost of Living into Business Decisions📉 When planning a business move, one critical aspect to consider is the cost of living in the new location. High living costs can impact employee satisfaction, salary expectations, and overall business expenses. Here are some things to consider: 1. **Employee Compensation:** Adjust salaries to match local living costs to attract and retain talent. 2. **Operational Costs:** Evaluate how living costs affect rent, utilities, and other business expenses. 3. **Quality of Life:** Ensure the location offers a good quality of life to maintain employee morale and productivity. 4. **Economic Impact:** A lower cost of living can enhance your business’s potential to bring wealth into the area, stimulating local economies and creating new opportunities. Understanding and planning for these factors can lead to a more successful transition and long-term growth. Balance costs and benefits to maximize your impact! 🌟 #BusinessStrategy #CostOfLiving #EconomicImpact #BusinessGrowth

Universal basic income designated for core expenses is needed. Regulation of blanket administrative fees by corporations is needed. Price regulation in health care is needed. Stop making it so hard to live, capitalism.

4moI couldn't agree more! 😅 It's wild how some job apps are like running a marathon. I also don't love the 'apply with LinkedIn' button. It appears to be a lifesaver but also a way to get overloaded with applications. I wonder why some companies aren't simply making life easier for applicants. 😉
