Surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, melanoma, empowering through education, and patient centered care
Contrast enhanced mammograms are excellent imaging tools but not often used for high risk surveillance because they are also mammograms and typically getting more than one mammogram in a year is not recommended. Sometimes they can be used instead of regular mammograms and someone who needs high risk surveillance can also get ultrasounds with them but this is a collaborative decision between you, your breast surgical oncologist, and your breast trained radiologist. #womenshealth #women #breastcancer
