one more special thing to add to the list for this week — we launched our first experiment in community micro.grants! in our first of what we hope will be many rounds, RADAR will be funding and supporting member ideas that accelerate better futures. for this first batch of $500 and $1,000 micro.grants, we’re focused on ideas that spread belief and build meaning in our flagship statement: the future belongs to those who think about it. we hope this becomes yet another tool in the RADAR toolbox to activate collective impact, strategically supporting the efforts of individual members and mobilizing multiplayer support so that we can amplify and extend the difference we’re able to make in service of better futures. read more and get to ideating here: https://lnkd.in/gMAScq8F
mailing a field guide to portugal — which must put us near 30 countries by now welcoming a new member from nigeria, who acknowledged nearly sinking into depression until he stumbled into our vision that he shared the arrival of one member's field guide sparking the share that she'd started the first youth hostel in bulgaria because 'if i couldn't see the world, the world would come see me' scheduling our next event with friends that's pitch perfect for the many members, like one who just introduced themselves today, for whom 'labels and titles never feel good' but who know in their bones that they want to help the world imagine better futures beyond what's broken noodling on how to make what little extra money that's come into the community go the farthest in service of our mission small moments, sprinkled into an otherwise business-as-usual (and maybe, even, frustrating) kind of day, all thanks to RADAR being part of my life grateful for this piece of my pie 🍰

Last week we had the first session of the small group Funded with Ease intensive! The NGOs connected in early morning in Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica and California. It was evening in Mayanmar, where one of the NGOs works. And it was afternoon here in South Africa, where I am this month. I started off by asking everyone this question: "How do you feel about grant writing today?" The participating grant writers, executive directors and partnerships staff were feeling all the feels. "Nervous" "Unsure" "Like eating my vegetables" But man things can change quickly! At the end of that first session, I asked them how they were feeling. ✔️ "Hopeful" ✔️ "Excited" ✔️ "A clear direction forward" were just a few of the many words they shared. What caused this change? We had spent the session getting clear on all the things that would make a funder excited to say "yes" to their specific NGO, and then defining the perfect fit funder profile for their NGO. This gets you focused. This brings clarity. This is where I suggest NGOs start. #GrantWritingSuccess #GrantWritingTips #FundingOpportunities #NGOImpact #NGOCommunity

Social responsibility of business classically includes charity, environmental protection, community development and compliance with ethical standards. This practice is the norm in large companies around the world, and Ukrainian business is no exception. In times of war, it has acquired a new meaning and it is the duty of every company operating in our market to have a socially responsible approach to work. Working, paying taxes and supporting the army are the three pillars that keep entrepreneurs alive today, despite the fact that the country's economy is not the best and it is incredibly difficult to work in such conditions. Read more about the concept of social responsibility of business and how it works in the context of the war in Ukraine in our new blog article 👇 https://lnkd.in/eCYq5vvD

LEVERAGING ON COLLECTIVE POWER FOR NGOs Organizational #collaboration is a real power for NGOs. While individual organizations have their mission, vision, models and tools, having the power and the will to connect, partner and collaborate with other organizations could define more success and drive higher impact. It's through creating #networks and collaborations that organizations can easily penetrate new areas, mobilize resources, create trust with new communities, avoid duplication of initiatives, reduce operations challenges and maximize impact. The Okra Network is one of the amazing platforms where organizations' collaborative power is enhanced and cultivated. As a pan Africanist driving sustainable community development, I believe in working together for a better Africa. #collaborationforchange #partnershipgoals #partnershipsmatter #networking #networkingopportunities #Afrika #sustainabledevelopment CorpsAfrica The Okra Network Africans Rising Ivan T.
