It was fantastic to be back in Manila for rockbird media's RESA carnival last week! It was a jam packed 2 days including an awesome dinner with our partners Dotdigital and 360&5 | Shopify Plus Agency plus special guests. My takeaways from our booth discussions: 1️⃣ AI was prominent as always and retailers there are really latching on to how they can automate processes and create customer personalisation using the latest technologies. 2️⃣ Retail is really back. Pain points were much more focussed around the performance of brick and mortar stores and how any use of customer data must benefit stores. In contrast to last year where focus was much more focussed around ecommerce performance. 3️⃣ Marketplaces are still prominent, but dare I say retailers are starting to consider scaling these back in order to control the customer experience and have visibility of their customer.....
