Whistleblower Law, so if you think I'm in trouble for calling you out for defamation you're dead wrong, can't be illegal and get away by chilling voice🤫 *Want some law check this out!!* U.S. Supreme Court Sides With Whistleblower In a unanimous decision, the U.S. Supreme Court sided with Murray and solidified the protections afforded to whistleblowers under SOX. Justice Sotomayor delivered the opinion for the Court and underscored the clarity of Section 1514A(a): Section 1514A(a)’s text does not reference or include a ‘retaliatory intent’ requirement, and the provision’s mandatory burden-shifting framework cannot be squared with such a requirement…. When an employer treats someone worse … ‘because of’ the employee’s protected whistleblowing activity’, the employer violates §1514A. This statement affirms the fundamental principle that whistleblowers are protected when adverse employment actions are taken against them due to their protected whistleblowing activities, regardless of the employer’s motive. The significance of this ruling extends beyond Murray’s individual case. It reaffirms the broader legal framework protecting whistleblowers and underscores the crucial role they play in uncovering misconduct, fraud, and violations of the public trust. By removing barriers to protection and clarifying the law’s intent, the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision empowers whistleblowers to come forward without fear of retaliation, thereby promoting a culture of integrity and compliance within organizations. For all you abusive employers or mid bosses out there harming your employees mentally or physically or a body of the govt is not exempt whatsoever this is appellate case law and its obstruction of justice if not carried out and not carrying out due process So Say We All👊🫡🇺🇲 CNBC Fox Corporation NBCUniversal CBS Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion International Journalists' Network (IJNet) Disabled People's Association Wisconsin Department of Justice #truth #Corruption #corruptgovernment #cps #Wisconsin #lawyers #law #lawyer #lacrosse #corrupt #news #media #digitalamarketing #marketing #marketingagency #marketer #supremecourt #newspaper #newstoday #newsletter #newsweek #newsmedia #newspapers #newsupdate #newsfeed #newsrooms #newsalert #newshighlights #newsanchor #newsdaily

Do you know that in a recent case, a court ruled that a company's failure to obtain the password to a former employee's phone did not constitute spoliation of data. This means that the company was not liable for any lost or deleted information from the device. While the company had a duty to preserve the phone once it took possession of it, the court found that the company was not responsible for obtaining the password. However, the court did order the company to make efforts to obtain the password and provide it to the court. This case is important because it clarifies the legal standards for spoliation and the duty to preserve evidence in cases involving employee devices. #knowthelaw #legaltips #legalinsights #legalpractitioner
