We reached a significant milestone this week as we removed the existing footbridge at Llanelli station, propelling the project into its final phase. This scheme forms part of Network Rail's commitment to improving station accessibility and we’re now preparing for the final stage, reinstating the canopy before handback and entry into service. Once complete, the Access for All scheme will ensure a fully accessible route between platforms 1 and 2, enhancing customer experience for all station users. Addressing mobility challenges and creating a step-free environment underscores Network Rail's dedication to delivering a railway that is accessible to everyone. Thanks to key strategic partners Adey Steel, MJ Hughes, Core Construction, RW Christoper crane hire, Motion Rail, Samual Evans, Liftec Express, Universal piling, JD Tarmac, Proctor Brothers, Aspect Fire, Insigns, SIS, SRK Scaffolding, Brandclad, Arcadis and Tony Gee and AmcoGiffen design and engineering for temporary works.
