Revolutionizing Men's Health: Urologist, Certified Wellness Coach, And Personal Trainer Transforming Lives through Fitness, Nutrition, and Empowerment.
If you haven’t started following Influent Network you need to now. Seriously though, stop what you’re doing and check them out. Last week I had the honor of being a guest on one of their new podcast series coming out soon called White Coat Warrior with Chris Myers, Ph.D., CSCS, CISSN. We had a blast talking about human optimization, nutrition, sleep management, etc. I’ll keep you all posted on the podcast when it launches so stay tuned. I think you are all going to find it super informative, helpful, and motivating! In the meantime, check out this unScripted episode below on burnout. I’ve seen colleagues around me literally crash and burn. The early signs and symptoms discussed below resonated with me not too long ago as well. Thankfully, I was able to identify the early stages, address the issues leading to the problems I was having, and prevent burnout from happening. I truly believe all of us in healthcare are only a few short choices from burnout. I think the key is awareness around what it is, how to identify the early stages of burnout, and how to prevent it. You won’t regret listening (or reading) the podcast below. Chat soon! Dr. David Hall, MD CWC Thanks Bryce Curry, MBA and Addisyn Uehling for helping coordinate my recent guest appearance with #InfluentNetwork. Physician burnout has been in the limelight, but the narrative around it doesn't capture the entire story. There's a deeper, often overlooked, dimension known as moral injury. While burnout hints at individual fatigue, moral injury focuses on systemic failures preventing doctors from prioritizing patient care. Most interventions have focused on individual resilience, insinuating that the individual is somehow deficient & needs "fixing.” We need inclusive & system-wide conversations about what healthcare workers actually need to do their jobs safely, ethically & with meaning.

Healthcare Is Uplifting and Wonderful But it can be tough on those within. It can be a slog day after day. Often it's an achievement just to keep going. That is something to be proud of. However, the never-ending demands can become demoralising and lead to stagnation of individuals and organisations. When will things improve? Perhaps change only occurs when we actively decide to alter our mindsets, conditions, systems. At what point should an individual who continues to care for others, but is suffering themselves, seek assistance? At what point should an organisation that functions yet contributes to the struggle of healthcare workers try to change processes and systems? #burnout #coaching #purpose #healthcareinnovation
