While a series of U.S. flag inland push tugs were under construction, ABS was asked to verify compliance with Subchapter M. Due to the vessel’s configuration, the shipyard could not conduct the inclining experiment as there was inadequate space on the main decks for incline weights, and the deckhouse structures were not built to support incline weights.
