More on the benefits of #coleadership, the Oxford HR report I shared, yesterday.
One area that we identified through our research was the unique benefit of using co-leadership in organisations with a heavy focus on advocacy. In addition to the myriad of challenges faced as a leader of an impact-led organisation, the advocacy leader must themselves be an advocate for their cause. By utilising a co-leadership model, organisations can dedicate an entire employee to their external relations, by having one co-lead directly responsible for advocacy and campaigns. This allows the functioning of an organisation to not be sacrificed, whilst also allowing the organisation to stay up to date on current trends within their area of interest and not lose its voice Read more in our research piece: Co-Leadership: The Future of Leading? https://lnkd.in/eUzztgXM #advocacy #leadership Zoe Greenwood Grace Mansah-Owusu, PhD

📣 Today's spotlight: Saara Kamal M.A. & Lindsey Stevens Don't miss out on their impactful session! Check it out: 🔷 Building Sustainability in Advocacy for Equity Work 🔷 "This session will offer a structure for creating a message for an issue you are passionate about. We support educators and leaders in defining their audience, what thresholds to consider, and what data or anecdotes to include. We will also address how positionality and identity play a role in advocacy and equity messages or movements. Participants will leave the session having a better awareness of what it means to work alongside as a co-conspirator instead of falling into white saviorism norms and behaviors in advancing advocacy for equity."
