In 2024, we've seen unprecedented weather extremes. Our lineworkers, always ready to respond, are currently tackling the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, many far away from their families. Today is recognized by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) as Lineworker Appreciation Day, an important one in the utility industry. We’re grateful for these brave individuals and all they do for our communities today and all days. #ThankALineworker AEP Ohio AEP Texas Appalachian Power Indiana Michigan Power Kentucky Power Public Service Company of Oklahoma Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO)

Line Workers the unsung heroes. A lot of long hours, long periods between meals and sleep,in all types of weather. Customers ( some ) treat you badly at times, others are grateful you’re there working. I know, Retired AEP 30 years as a Lineman. Kudos to those still giving it their all.

Thank you from over a million families....and I was one of the lucky ones not impacted by the storm.
