Thanks for sharing this has truly given me the impetus to go forward in my studies and as the statement suggest we can only reach great heights through great fights knowing you got the victory.
One thing I love about the Olympics are the stories. Sure, someone achieving a 20'6" pole vault is super exciting, but I like the stories each year. I sent these 2 videos out to my team this week so they could get an idea of some great examples of Determination and Perseverance. The year is over half way over, but we don't want to let the first half of the race determine the outcome of the finish of the race. Here is what I had sent out:
As we are in the Olympic season, I wanted to share 2 videos.
Perseverance. We have talked about being behind our 2018 number of $XXM last year. And we are actually currently down $XXK vs. last year currently, and -$XXK vs. 2018, through July. But watch this video. One of the greatest come backs in Olympic history. Watch runner 1033, Dave Wottle, from the US. From last, to first. Battling injuries and a slow start, he was not going to let that drag him down. Even half way done, and in a distant last place, we still doesn’t give up. How does one win a race? Literally, one step at a time. How do we make our year? One sale at a time. But we can’t quit, we make one more sale, then another, and then another. It will all come together to make a great finish!!

And what can we accomplish with determination? Watch this video of Eric Moussambani, from Ecuadorian Guinea. Competing in the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics in the 100M Freestyle. If you don’t know, Australia is one of the most competitive teams in the water. Pushing Phelps to become the swimmer he is! How intimidating would it be, to compete at an International level like the Olympics, in a country that focuses in the events you are going to participate in. How does Eric take some huge negatives, and turn them into one of the most memorable races in the entire Olympics. His determination won those Olympics. What can you do with the same kind of determination?

As we go into the last 5 months of the year, I ask you all to stay determined, find your perseverance, and let’s finish strong!!!

When you hear the best athletes in history talk, they always talk about 2 things:
1. Winning
2. Becoming the best version of themselves
There's nothing more powerful than self-mastery as the mechanism for reaching your goals.
“Your ATTITUDE determines your ALTITUDE!” I end all my YouTube videos with this powerful quote and it’s a critical part of my book project entitled, The Engineers: A Western New York Basketball Story. Where does it come from and what’s its significance? #basketball#life#attitude#buffalo
What are post-race blues? Are they normal? How should you mentally approach them? In my latest article for TrainingPeaks, I shared the story of mountain athlete Justin S. + the deep insights of sports psychologist Jim Afremow to answer these questions. "It's only a point." Roger Federer
That is the mindset of resilience, of someone looking forward.
As one of the greatest professional tennis players Roger won nearly 80% of his singles matches. Of those professional matches he only won 54% of the points.
It's all about perspective and resilience. Roger Federer, one of the greatest professional tennis players, embraced a mindset that propelled him to success - "It's only a point."
Roger's lesson is clear: perfection is unattainable. Instead, focus on the present challenge with utmost importance, accept the outcome, and shift attention to the next challenge. #Resilience#Mindset#Success#Focus#Opentowork#Marketingprinciples
