Every day presents an opportunity to be an agent of change – through our words, actions, and the spaces we create. At HCG, we believe meaningful change starts with each of us asking ourselves this daily – in how we serve our clients, support our colleagues, create inclusive spaces in healthcare communications and ensure medical information reaches all communities equitably. We honor Dr. King's legacy not just by remembering his words, but by answering his call to action in our daily work. Ask the question. Share the question. #MLKDAY #HealthcareEquity

Today, on #MLKDay, we reflect on Dr. King’s commitment to justice, not just in healthcare but in all aspects of life. True health equity means dismantling the systems that leave some communities without the resources they need to be healthy. It means addressing the root causes of inequality, like racism and poverty, and taking collective action to build a society where everyone has a fair opportunity at good health. It is a reminder that the steps we take today will shape the world we leave for tomorrow. As we honor Dr. King’s legacy, let’s take a moment to ask ourselves: ‘What are you doing for others?’ and commit to health equity for all.

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. challenged injustices at every level of American society, including in healthcare. Today, as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. King, we also recognize the ongoing work needed to create a healthcare system that is truly equitable and accessible for all. Deeply entrenched disparities continue to impact health outcomes, and healthcare providers must be aware of these realities. It’s essential that we confront these issues honestly, reflect on our role in addressing them, and most importantly, listen—really listen—to the communities we serve. At CHA, we remain steadfast in our commitment to working together with partners across the state to drive meaningful change and improve health outcomes for every person and community for which we care. #MLKDay #martinlutherkingjr #justice #equity #caringforct #healthequity

Choosing to do the right thing — both personally and professionally — can often feel an uphill battle. It might require standing alone, speaking up, or making sacrifices that others can’t see. It can be uncomfortable, inconvenient, or even costly. But doing what’s right is what creates trust. It’s what builds character. It’s how we show up not just for ourselves, but for the people and causes we care about. Integrity isn’t built in the easy moments. It’s built when the stakes are high, when the decision is tough, and when no one is watching. So, lean into the hard choices. Because the right thing will always leave you with a clear conscience and the knowledge that you’ve acted with courage and purpose. #mlk #dowhatsright #leadwithkindness
