In India, where many girls face educational barriers, Shalini's success through STEM is a story of brazen resolve and empowerment. Shalini, a 13-year-old from Porur, a neighboring town of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, carries the dreams of her hardworking parents, who sustain by welding and juggling other odd jobs. Financial constraints led her to transition from a private to a government school. As devastated as Shalini was at losing her friends and her school – her home away from home, it also meant her serendipitous encounter with AIF’s #DigitalEqualizer program and #STEM Innovation and Learning Center (SILC) at her new school. She dove into science and automation with boundless enthusiasm. Excelling at STEM she soon became a mentor to her classmates, boosting their confidence along the way. Then came the defining moment at the National Knowledge event - #DigiQuity, where Shalini wowed the crowd with the 3D-printed miniature model of her SILC lab, earning applause and accolades from esteemed scientists from ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization. Her once-trembling voice now rings with clarity and her trepidation has turned to tenacity, as she chases her dream to become an IAS Officer. Let’s give bold futures to girls like Shalini. When adhering to the routine of various office activities, returning to your college can reignite a sense of youthfulness. 🎓✨ I recently had the incredible pleasure of attending the Alumni Meet at #SathyabamaUniversity last Saturday, immersing myself in campus memories and reuniting with old friends! Reconnecting with the vibrant spirit of our university was nothing short of magical. 🤩 What made it even more special was a few professors remembering our names, who is now in top management of college. As time brings changes, there's been a considerable relaxation in college policies – that's evolution. 🌱🔄 👁️🎯 One man's vision, #Jeppiaar, has steered this college to become one of the top institutions for over 30 years, leaving an incredible legacy. His impact on shaping disciplined #engineers will be remembered for another 100 years 🌐. We all know the struggles of running a small company and the problems we face. 🤝 The responsibility has been well taken over by his daughter, son-in-law, and now, his grandchildren. 👑✨ This Alumni meet, from an organizing perspective, was well-executed. It marks the first time an Alumni meet is happening in the college with representatives from all departments and batches spanning 30+ years. Perhaps, it will become even more majestic in the years to come. 💭 Miss your college days? Plan for an Alumni meet—it brings back memories and the joy of reconnecting with your roots. I am proud that we are the first batch of #SathyabamaUniversity, and when I was attending my #college_counselling, it was Satyabama Engineering College, and it changed to a university within a week :) . Graduate Student at UCSF (DSCB) || Mentoring student to reach Dream Schools || DAAD Scholar || Alumni Yale, LMU Munich, SXC Bombay || President Balshree Award Winner 2013
𝐀𝐫𝐞 #𝐈𝐈𝐓𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? I recently came across a poster from #IITHyderabad announcing a special round of admissions exclusively for meritorious students from #IITs, #IISc, #IISERs, and #NITs. This raises critical questions about the future of science and education in India: - Are only IITians and students from these select institutes capable of contributing to science and achieving success? - Does this imply that students from other institutions are less capable or destined to fail? - How does this practice impact the morale and opportunities for the vast majority of students who do not attend these prestigious institutions? - Is this not the height of academic elitism and exclusion that undermines the potential of countless talented students across India? This practice of favoring #IITians and #NITians suggests a troubling message: only students from these elite institutions are worthy of success and recognition. This elitism is not only unjust but also detrimental to the growth and diversity of our scientific community. Many non-IITians and non-NITians are making groundbreaking contributions to science and various other fields. By focusing solely on promoting IITs and NITs, we risk ignoring and demoralizing countless brilliant minds from public or state universities, who bring invaluable perspectives and innovations. Success in academia and beyond is not confined to the walls of a few institutions. Academic brilliance and innovation are distributed across diverse educational backgrounds. We must foster an inclusive environment that values all talents, regardless of their alma mater. It's high time we address this issue of #academicelitism in India and work towards a more equitable and inclusive academic landscape. Let's celebrate and support all students who show promise and dedication, regardless of where they come from. What are your thoughts on this? How can we create a more inclusive academic environment in India? #AcademicInclusivity #EqualityInEducation #FightElitism #InclusiveIndia #EducationForAll #academiainIndia #PhD #academia #academicracism #indianeducation #PhDApplication #PhDStudent

At Govt. Middle School, Harrei Poorv, Singrauli, Ircon International Ltd. (Govt. of India Undertaking)'s CSR initiative is sparking a revolution in STEM education. Through generous support, students are now immersed in a world of hands-on learning and innovation. . In the heart of the classroom, teachers are using the captivating Funny Mirror model to unravel the mysteries of concave and convex mirrors. This interactive approach allows students to explore firsthand how these mirrors bend light and alter reflections in fascinating ways. . Beyond textbooks, this practical demonstration turns complex theories into tangible experiences, making learning both fun and memorable. By engaging with STEM concepts in such a dynamic manner, students are not just learning—they're discovering, experimenting, and fostering a deep appreciation for science. . IRCON's commitment to education in Madhya Pradesh's aspirational districts is evident in the enthusiasm it has ignited among these young learners. This initiative is not only enhancing their academic understanding but also nurturing their curiosity and inspiring them to dream bigger. . We are thrilled to witness the transformative impact of IRCON's CSR efforts, empowering the next generation with the skills and passion needed to thrive in an increasingly STEM-driven world. . https://lnkd.in/dK4KcmJb . . . #ircon #csr #stemeducation #govtmiddleschool #harreipoorv #singrauli #madhyapradesh #funnymirror #handsonlearning #innovativemodels #concavemirrors #convexmirrors #reflections #visualeffects #demystifyconcepts #funlearning #memorableexperience #curiosity #enthusiasm #scienceexploration #csrindia #csreducationprograms #corporatesocialresponsibility #socialresponsibility #corporateresponsibility #csrinitiatives #csractivities #stemlearning

🛑I recently explored research papers on [Wiley Online Library](https://lnkd.in/gMmxAAmH) and was curious to see which educational institutions in India provide access to such valuable resources. I discovered that 'INFLIBNET' is one of them. 🛑During my visit to the INFLIBNET website, I came across e-Pathshala, an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT), executed by the UGC. This platform offers approximately 22,000 subjects at the postgraduate level, complete with relevant notes and video lectures. 🛑Intrigued, I watched one of these lectures on YouTube, hoping to see how many people in India are utilizing this initiative to genuinely enhance their knowledge. To my surprise, I found very little engagement. It seems our focus on survival has overshadowed our pursuit of knowledge for its own sake. Education is increasingly being seen merely as a means to secure livelihood, rather than a pursuit of intellectual growth. 🛑This trend underscores a significant challenge for India: the need to rely on technology from other countries. It’s a poignant reminder of the importance of nurturing a genuine love for learning in our society. https://lnkd.in/gpssmupm https://lnkd.in/gBKR5-DH #India #education #government #epathshala #pg #postgraduate #graduate #library #research
