High school equivalency (HSE) students have unique stories and big dreams. Darlene Chee (Navajo) shares the impact a tribal college education has made on her life: “A tribal college education is particularly important because of the small class size, caring instructors, one-on-one tutoring, and affordability. SIPI’s [Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute] instructors like Mr. Snyder, and all the HSE staff, are very compassionate and supportive no matter the situation; they help you succeed.” Our High School Equivalency Visibility Project will continue to highlight these students and graduates as we celebrate our scholars at every stage in their educational journey. #EducationIsTheAnswer #SIPI #AmericanIndianCollegeFund #tribalcolleges #highschoolequivalency #HSEstudent #adulteducation

Here’s an example of an imaginary interview between the Head of Special Education and a Special Education Teacher applying for a position at an international school that follows the American curriculum. --- Head of Special Education (HSE): "Good morning, and welcome. Thank you for applying to our school. Can you start by telling me a little about your background and why you're interested in this position?" Special Education Teacher (SET): "Good morning, and thank you for the opportunity. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and have over five years of experience working in inclusive classrooms, particularly in schools that follow the American curriculum. I’m passionate about creating tailored learning experiences for students with special needs and am eager to bring my skills to an international setting where I can help students thrive." HSE: "That’s great to hear. How familiar are you with the American curriculum, and how would you integrate it with individualized education plans (IEPs)?" SET: "I have extensive experience with the American curriculum, including standards like Common Core. I believe in balancing curriculum expectations with each student's unique needs. When I develop IEPs, I ensure they align with curriculum goals but adapt the delivery of instruction, using differentiated teaching strategies and tools to meet each student's learning style and abilities." If you are interested to complete the interview Plz let me know in the comments

Teacher is the engine of quality education.
Quality pre-service teacher training is the precondition for effective and confident teachers and ulitmately - quality education. But many teachers are not satisfied with their job preparation, which is often too theoretical and inadequate for the practical demands of their work. Mary Burns, Ana Pinheiro and Ana Poças outline the issues within pre-service education for teachers and show that improving teacher training is key to solving the global teaching crisis: http://g.pe/VjX850QyspM #TeachersTransform
