The American Kidney Fund has published new patient-focused guidelines to help people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) manage and treat hyperkalemia, also known as high potassium. Kidney disease is the most common cause of hyperkalemia, a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that can cause an irregular heartbeat or a heart attack. Our thanks to AstraZeneca for their support that made these guidelines possible. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4eXZQno

1 in 3 individuals are at risk for kidney disease. One of the more common long-term complications of diabetes is kidney damage. People with chronic kidney disease (CKD) also have an increased risk for cardiovascular disease. Building on our portfolio of diagnostic offerings to empower individuals to be healthier, we are pleased to partner with Klinrisk to exclusively offer an algorithm-based test tool for risk stratification of kidney failure progression at early stages of CKD for at risk patients. It predicts the progress of kidney disease before kidney function is lost and equips health care providers with a powerful tool that assesses the risk of CKD progression so that patients at risk can reduce their chances of developing end-stage kidney disease. The model is built on a foundation of lab data from large national/international population health repositories with published data from health systems. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gcZwzKeU
We’re proud to be partnering with Klinrisk to offer a new test for assessing the risk of developing chronic kidney disease (CKD). Learn more today: www.lifelabs.com/Klinrisk The test is an algorithm based on results from routine blood and urine tests, and it generates a score to help predict the progression of disease before kidney function is lost. #Klinrisk #CKD #ChronicKidneyDisease #BloodTest #LifeLabs
