⭐Did you know that Spain is one of the most captivating tourist destinations in the world, ranking only second in line to France as the top contender for the most international visitors?⭐ Spain's tourism industry reached record highs in 2023, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and setting new benchmarks for success. Last year alone, Spain welcomed over 84 million international visitors who collectively spent more than €108 billion – a staggering 24% increase in spending year-over-year. Unsurprisingly, the momentum of Spain's tourism boom shows no signs of slowing down. But here's the catch: despite the exponential growth in tourism, a recent report by the Madrid-based National Statistics Institute revealed that a whopping 19% increase in visitors in 2023, compared to the previous year, was accompanied by a surprising statistic.  Nearly 60% of Spaniards admitted they lack proficiency in English – the global language of tourism. Although the tourism industry in Spain is thriving, the country has one of the lowest levels of English proficiency in the EU. Imagine the global success the country could achieve if businesses were able to deliver exceptional experiences and customer satisfaction to international visitors. Individual tourism companies could maximize their potential, but... great service starts with English.  At American Language Academy we’re prepared to help tackle this massive problem in Spain with private one-to-one classes or group company classes designed specifically to meet students’ individual needs with preparation on offering the best possible service in their industry.  Contact us to get started!    +34  914-455-511 #TourismIndustry #EnglishLanguageSkills #ProfessionalDevelopment #SpainTourism #LanguageProficiency #GlobalCommunication

We can’t deny these facts but I must say, (as a professional involved with the Spanish ESL industry since way back) that the younger population has made great progress, for various obvious reasons, whereas the more mature segment, have stayed behind. It’s up to us to encourage them, by addressing their needs.
