Be sure to connect with Jorge Zuazola for your free 20 minutes Teams video individual session on AI 5.0 Leadership to get your 5.0 Leadership Roadmap. True leadership transcends traditional notions of command and control. It's not about dominating others, but about inspiring and empowering oneself and others to reach their full potential. This resonates deeply with the concept of embracing vulnerability. By acknowledging our limitations and seeking support, we demonstrate a profound strength of character. This approach aligns with the principles of servant leadership, a philosophy that prioritizes the needs of others and focuses on building strong relationships. Just as a leader in an organization empowers their team, we can empower ourselves by building a strong support network. Furthermore, embracing vulnerability fosters a sense of authenticity and genuine connection. When we open ourselves up to others, we create a safe space for them to do the same. This creates a ripple effect of empathy and understanding, fostering a more compassionate and supportive community. This concept of "collective strength" resonates with the principles of collaborative leadership, where individuals work together towards a common goal. By connecting with others, we tap into a collective intelligence and a shared pool of resources. Just as a leader in a business environment must cultivate a culture of trust and collaboration, we must cultivate a culture of trust and support within our own lives. This involves actively building and nurturing meaningful relationships with family, friends, mentors, and colleagues. Building strong relationships requires consistent effort and intentional action. It involves active listening, empathy, and genuine care for the well-being of others. It also involves being present in the moment, truly connecting with others on a deeper level, and celebrating their successes. In conclusion, true leadership over our own lives begins with self-awareness and self-acceptance. It involves embracing our vulnerabilities, seeking support, and fostering genuine connections with others. By choosing connection over isolation, we unlock our full potential, build resilience, and contribute to a more compassionate and interconnected world. This journey of self-leadership requires continuous learning and growth. It demands that we step outside our comfort zones, embrace new experiences, and cultivate a growth mindset. By embracing the power of connection and leading with authenticity and compassion, we can create a life that is both fulfilling and meaningful.

You are the 1%! Now it's time to get to work! If you are reading this, chances are pretty good that you already are a #TransformationalLeader or well on your way. According to psychologist Robert Kegan, who I have quoted before, only 1% of the adult population reach a self-transformational level of development. So, congratulations, you are the 1%! But what does it take to be a transformational leader? How do you deal with the transformation all around us, and step up to not just react to it, but to actively shape the #future, uplevel your #workforce to become relational, and craft the #culture of your organization? Some key elements: 🏝 Create Islands of Sanity - don't change the world, commit to your context 🌊 Create ripples - each of us shapes how we in total show up 🔝 Vertical development - as a leader you get to go first and explore your own potential genius 🔗 Transformational Relating - every interaction is also an opportunity for mutual evolution ⏱ Automate management, focus on leadership - distributing work can be systematized, enabling people to do the work is a different story 🤗 Selfcare and Self-regulation - put your own oxygen mask on first, then build the habits that will support your next iteration 👩🎓 Self-cultivation - always strive for who you could become (don't judge yourself by it as you will always fall short) 🛠 It's a process - learning is never done There is no right way to be a leader, there is only yours. Keep evolving! https://lnkd.in/dmYkxfbG #leadership #transformation #od #selfcare

▶️ How harmonizing human insight with machine intelligence forges winning organizations In an era where discussions on machine intelligence often question whether its rapid advances will augment or undermine human capabilities, it’s crucial to first recognize the unique contributions of our human faculties. 2 such faculties stand out from reading this article: ➡️ curiosity that manifests in the art of asking great questions but equally for me ➡️ intuition, which is often overlooked but i believe increasingly vital today. Firstly intuition—our ability to grasp something instinctively without conscious reasoning allows leaders to perceive undercurrents and potential shifts not evident in data. Yet, as the volume of data grows and the time for analysis shrinks, intuition has increasingly been viewed as a less reliable substitute for reason. This is particularly true in complex situations where fine shifts can determine success or failure. Relying solely on the past when facing new market disruption or competitive threats can lead to damaging business results. However, when paired with the art of questioning, intuition transforms into a tool for exploration. This approach is akin to how ➡️ prompt usage and engineering is emerging as a competitive edge in the realm of commoditized foundation models. By using intuition to steer inquiries and leveraging powerful questions to build on AI-generated insights, leaders foster a cognitive synergy that greatly enhances decision-making. This synergy does more than augment human abilities; it amplifies them, fostering a deeper, more productive interaction between human and machine intelligence. It encourages not only asking 'what' and 'how' but delving into the 'why,' unlocking innovative insights and predictions that machines alone cannot realize. I believe that organizations which master this integration of human intuition with machine intelligence will be the true winners in this era. I wrote recently that organizations need a radical overhaul in work design, organization, and communication to truly transform and secure success, This is certainly a key area where success will not only boost efficiency and growth but also bring conscious impact for their customers, employees and broader stakeholders equally. #esg #chatGPT #ai #prompt #engineering #innovation #digitaltransformation #generativeai #data #leadership #management #digitalmarketing #future #technology

A few years back, this question was off-topic. But now, that algorithms can outperform humans in certain tasks and with the rise of data-driven decision-making, we wonder: what do we do as professionals and leaders when we can't rely on data? Is there room for intuition in leadership? It seems this is the perfect time to focus on developing uniquely human capabilities that machines can't replace, which will help us stay true to our humanity. Discussions about AI – its impact, its role in enhancing efficiency and potentially replacing jobs – seem to dominate our timelines lately. However, this article offers some useful examples of how AI can empower leaders, providing personal coaching, helping them identify blind spots, and providing real-time feedback to make data-driven decisions. Furthermore, with more digitally native Gen-Z people entering the workforce, AI can be an important resource in bridging generational divides, enabling businesses and leaders to be more adaptive, responsive and, ironically, people-centric. This is why I have personally involved myself in AI, being part of @gimmefy — because I believe AI can empower, not replace leaders. #AI #leadership #coaching #futurefit

Essential skills and AI As with many other topics, the discussion on essential skills (aka soft skills or power skills) wouldn’t be complete without adding the context of artificial intelligence (AI). What is the relationship between AI and the need for essential skills? AI cannot accommodate every scenario that we face in the workplace because it cannot execute emotional intelligence or creativity. This means that circumstances requiring empathy, critical thinking and complex decision making will still need human intervention. Some examples of this complimentary relationship include: Innovation · AI can distill research for quicker literature searches and summarize data for insights · People can generate novel ideas and perform complex problem solving Change Management · AI can generate draft communications and change management plans or revise tone of content for different audiences · People can exercise influence, create a shared vision, and make others feel heard amidst the change Leadership · AI can assess performance information to help identify development opportunities or analyze data to support more informed decision making · People can conduct recruiting, make strong human connections, utilize empathy to create better work environments In a team, we often utilize the diverse strengths of each teammate in concert to set ourselves up for success and mitigate our individual limitations. AI is no different. We can invite it into our teams to capitalize on its strengths as a complement to our own. Are you ready to be that compliment to AI? 🔄 Leaders, ever notice how one miscommunication can spiral into widespread resistance? Game theory explains why—and how to prevent it. In game theory's Tit for Tat simulations, a single misinterpreted signal can trigger an endless cycle of retaliation. Sound familiar? It's exactly what happens in organizations when: - A change initiative is perceived as threatening - A new policy is misinterpreted - Leadership communication seems inconsistent - Trust breaks down between departments The Solution? Game theory shows that adding a little more forgiveness to interactions (i.e., make it the default) breaks these negative cycles. At Perswayd AI, we're translating this into practical influence strategies: - Build forgiveness buffers into communication - Create clear feedback loops - Design influence patterns that self-correct - Monitor and adjust to prevent echo effects 🚀 Transform how your organization handles change.
