Farmers and ranchers: make sure you, your family, and your employees know how to be safe around downed power lines. 🚜 Know where power lines cross your land. 🚜 Stay at least 35 feet away from fallen lines. If you are within 35 feet of a fallen line, hop with both feet together or shuffle to safety. 🚜 Assume fallen lines are energized. 🚜 Be aware that fallen or sagging lines that might come in contact with fences and equipment. 🚜 Immediately notify Socorro Electric at (575) 835-0560 or (800) 351-7575 if you see a downed line.
