On September 11, 2001, our country stood still. 23 years later, we still honor the lives lost, the bravery of first responders, and the strength of a nation that came together in the face of tragedy. We will never forget.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, was a strong advocate for justice, equality, and standing up against oppression. While it's not possible to know exactly what he would do in any modern situation, his teachings encourage the protection of the innocent and the fight against tyranny in all its forms. As humans, there are several ways we can help stop genocide and support those affected by such crises: - **Educate ourselves** about the issues and the history behind them. - **Raise awareness** by discussing these topics within our communities and on social media. - **Support organizations** that work towards humanitarian relief and conflict resolution. - **Advocate for political action** by contacting representatives and supporting policies that aim to prevent such atrocities. It's important to approach these issues with compassion and understanding, working together towards peace and justice for all.
All views expressed are my own. I am accepting all connection requests from people who are standing up for the injustices currently taking place in Palestine and around the world.
Interesting Exchange 👉Both Abby Martin & Rania Khalek have refused to condemn Palestinian armed resistance when pushed to do so on Piers Morgan. Why? Let's make it simple. Americans do you condemn the founding fathers?

❝The consequences of war for children are not only multilayered and complex; they stay with them and they stay in our societies.❞ The effects of war on children are far-reaching and impactful. They seep into our societies at large and shape our futures. Now, amidst a period of increased geopolitical instability worldwide, more than 460 million children are affected by armed conflict. The War Childhood Museum serves as a platform for those affected to share their experiences. By creating a community based on dignity and respect, the museum allows them to tell their stories and educate others about the multilayered and long-lasting consequences of war on children. ⤵️ Read more about the museum and its work in this Critical Thinking article, by 2023 EYL40 European Young Leaders Jasminko Halilovic, below. #CriticalThinking #EYL40 #DoNotNormaliseTheWar #StateOfEU

DAY 6: HAPPINESS (part 1) DON'T LEAD ALONE! (GLS version) Day 2 of the Global Leadership Summit did not disappoint! Here are some thoughts from Harvard Business School Professor, Arthur C. Brooks. What is happiness? Many people think happiness is just a feeling. Brooks reasons your feelings are just evidence of your happiness. Happiness is actually the sum of three parts: ENJOYMENT + SATISFACTION + MEANING = HAPPINESS We have much evidence to prove enjoyment alone is not happiness. We all know someone who has spent their lifetime attempting to maximize their personal pleasure and we know that never ends well. Satisfaction is the joy you get after you struggle for achievement. Humans are the only species who appreciate the pain and struggle of progress. The last piece is the “why” of your life. Meaning comes from understanding why you were born, where you are going in life, and what you would happily give your life for at this very moment. * How would you define happiness? * Have you taken the time to contemplate why you were born? * Where do you look for your happiness? ....................................................................... Over the coming days I want to challenge you to take a fresh look at your life and leadership. I’ll be sharing posts, personal stories, and articles about leaders who get it right...and some who don’t. The one thing I hope you’ll discover as you take this journey with me is YOU DON’T HAVE TO LEAD ALONE! .......................................................................
We need to declare war on contempt. We need to love our enemies. Arthur C. Brooks #GLS24

We talk about preserving life or ending life or living the best life…we talk about aging and dying with dignity. We talk about everything related to life and death…but we rarely speak frankly about killing. https://lnkd.in/gd856xKp
