What I say to my team, and to my kids too- try it, if you make a mistake, then so be it. Learn the lesson from it then let's try another way, until we succeed with the outcome we want to achieve. Let creativity and game-changing ideas flourish. #leadership #makingmistakes #creativityandinnovation

In Order To Be Original, Prepare to Be WRONG Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it is through our mistakes that we learn and improve. Sir Ken Robinson even said, “If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original.” Attaining success means making lots of mistakes. These mistakes help us become better and find better solutions; hence, letting our originality rise. The best way to succeed is to accept the things you’ve done wrong, learn from them, and find ways to improve them. Mistakes cannot be undone, but you can always become a better entrepreneur because of them. Go ahead, make those mistakes and be original.

Be prepared to be wrong. Be prepared to fail, own it, learn lessons from it and keep moving. That is a measure of a character, creativity and leadership.

"If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original." - Ken Robinson This statement has been resonating with me lately, particularly in the context of fostering creativity, developing growth mindsets, and cultivating intrinsic motivation. People often ask me how to be more creative or how to think more abstractly. I believe the answer lies, in part, with YOUR willingness to be wrong. Here's how I see it: 1. Embracing Uncertainty in Creativity: True innovation often emerges from venturing into the unknown. When we allow ourselves the freedom to be wrong, we open doors to *ORIGINAL THINKING* and novel solutions. Being creative isn't about having all the right answers—it's about asking interesting questions and exploring unconventional paths. 2.Growth Mindset as a Catalyst: Viewing mistakes as learning opportunities rather than failures is at the core of a growth mindset. This perspective shift can dramatically impact how we approach challenges and personal development. It's not about being right all the time, but about growing through each experience. 3.Fueling Intrinsic Motivation: An environment that values exploration and learning from mistakes can significantly boost intrinsic motivation. When the fear of being wrong diminishes, curiosity and the joy of discovery can flourish. This is where abstract thinking thrives—in the space where we're free to make connections without the pressure of immediate correctness. 4.Rethinking Education and Leadership: How might our educational systems and workplaces change if we placed more value on the process of exploration rather than just the end results? This could transform how learners and team members engage with complex problems and foster more creative, abstract thinking. 5.Balancing Risk and Reflection: While embracing the possibility of being wrong is crucial for creativity, it's equally important to reflect on our mistakes. This balance allows us to take calculated risks while continuously learning and improving. It's in this reflection that we often find the seeds of our most creative ideas. I'm curious about your experiences: - Can you recall a time when being "wrong" led to an unexpected breakthrough? #CreativeThinking #GrowthMindset #IntrinsicMotivation #ProfessionalDevelopment #Innovation

Mistakes are just as important as successes in embracing a true spirit of innovation and lack of willingness to try or confront, learn, and pivot can create inertia in business and in life. In my opinion this comes from an outcome first orientation vs. embracing the joy of constant learning and development. Making mistakes can be exciting because now you are even closer to finding what DOES work.

Very insightful short talk to understand the roots of creative process, its natural development and challenges. In other words, how making mistakes impact ( is part of ) the creative process. Same concept applied in a design industry that requires constantly new ideas, and depends on creative & fresh designers and teams, with the right mentorship.
