Who asked me?.... No one, I will still give you my unsolicited advice. Even if there is a 20% I will receive negative feedback. Same goes for offering introductions. Recently, I connected an investor with a nurse eager to transition from a 9-5 job. Both were eyeing a local Home Care deal I represent. Although they missed the opportunity, it's always worth a shot. Nobody asked me to, but I do it anyway. #Opportunities #ValueCreation #Networking #mergersandacquisitions #privateequity #healthcare #nurse HedgeStone Business AdvisorsMichael Steinberg Cory Mais Brian Dunn Patrick Roberts, JD

Healthcare Operations Strategist | Managed Care Specialist | Process Management | Data Analysis & Reporting
The article discusses the continued strength of the healthcare job market despite a general cooling in overall job openings. Healthcare job openings remain high, with 1.9 million vacancies reported in May 2024, accounting for nearly a quarter of all job openings in the U.S.This trend is attributed to several factors: An aging population requiring more healthcare services Ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic Burnout and early retirement among healthcare workers The demand for healthcare workers is expected to persist, with projections indicating a need for 2 million new healthcare workers by 2031. This includes roles such as home health aides, nursing assistants, and registered nurses. The article also notes that while job openings in healthcare remain high, the pace of hiring has slowed somewhat. This is partly due to challenges in finding qualified candidates and the time-consuming nature of healthcare hiring processes. https://lnkd.in/ep_niZVb #healthcare #AccessToCare #PatientEngagement #PatientCare

Do you want to get a pulse on how a healthcare facility is doing? Take a look at the middle management... Look at two data points. 1) how long have they been in the position. 2) how long have they been with the company. If you notice a pattern of very low numbers be concerned, but don't be surprised During covid multiple trends were seen. #1 A mass retirement of older more experienced staff. #2 A mass layoff of healthcare providers who didn't want the vaccine. #3 A burn out level that was never seen before. With nursing shortages nurses could swap jobs for higher pay or go work at a contract company for $$$. With all these changes, were horrid staff turnover numbers. Direct care staff and middle management were spread thin and no one had time for excellent training. You had staff who were never properly trained to do their job being promoted into vacant managerial positions. And in turn now they were training the nurse who took their direct care job... are you seeing the problem... What were facilities to do? Well now the staffing issue are leveling out now and covid burnout is behind us. It's extremely important that there is a huge focus toward training not only the floor staff but also our new leaders trying to piece the job together as they go, and reevaluating who is doing the job. Focusing on best practice, and service again. But maybe we also try something different?? There is a new generation of scrapy employees ready to prove themselves. healthcare needs an injecting of innovative thinking and if given some guidance and opportunity to voice their opinions; maybe these are the staff to do it. Maybe instead of teaching them the old way of handling a problem, see how they handle themselves. We can't be afraid of change. Instead of running around putting out fires maybe we need to stop and think how can we change this daily grind. The opportunities are out there! #nursing #nursinghomes #healthcareeducation #healthcareindustry #leadershipdevelopment #skillednursing #managers
