Continuing to celebrate our recent graduations - We are overjoyed to announce the graduation of one of our remarkable residents, Ralph. Ralph joined ARW from incarceration in July 2023 and has shown incredible progress and dedication throughout the program. Ralph's journey has been truly inspiring. He dedicated himself to various roles, working diligently on the third floor in electrics, assisting in the kitchen, and serving as a committed houseman in the dorm. His hard work and perseverance paid off when he secured employment at Candlewood Suites upon entering Phase 2, where he quickly became a valuable asset to the team. Beyond his professional achievements, Ralph has demonstrated immense compassion and determination, supporting fellow residents in their recovery journeys. His positive attitude and strong work ethic have made a lasting impact on our community. Ralph has now secured a private rental and is excited to embark on this new chapter of self-sufficiency. We are incredibly proud of Ralph's accomplishments and wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors. Join us in congratulating Ralph on this significant milestone! Your ARW family will always be cheering you on.

This face is the joy my heart feels when twice in one week I get great news from students - one who applied and was accepted into college after a presentation I gave at a church on Sunday and another student I wrote a recommendation for who was accepted into a service academy in New York. I'm so grateful for the opportunities the Lord gives me to sow into others' futures! P.S. The kid in the photo is mine 😊😅

Apart of a shared mission to restore sight and prevent blindness through the healing power of donation, transplantation, and research.
In my opinion, truly important for the future of the field.
"For a new industry worker to be licensed, [under the Colorado bill] they will have to graduate from an accredited educational institution for that profession, pass the national board examination, complete an apprenticeship, and pass a criminal background check. "The licenses could be obtained by those currently working in the field, when they can show they have worked at least 4,000 hours in the field, completed an apprenticeship, passed a criminal background check, and after two years, they could qualify for full licensure." https://lnkd.in/gxJvy3uk

Advice to new Pepperdine grads: Creatively and intentionally develop purpose, service, and leadership in your work. It's possible to be a self-centered worker in the nonprofit sector, just as much as it's possible to be an accountant or marketing exec living out selfless service. Don't let assumptions about your industry or seniority limit your intentional cultivation and application of core values and character. What would you add? 💙🧡 🌊
It's graduation season and we're excited to celebrate our seniors as they join the ranks of our esteemed alumni. As they prepare for their next steps, what advice would you share with them?

Corporate College recently had the incredible opportunity to host executive leaders from 100 Black Men of America, Inc. for their executive leadership retreat. I had the privilege of leading a session titled "Education's Post-Pandemic Evolution: What We Provide Matters," and later joined Herman Bulls, vice chairman and international director at JLL, to discuss "Organizational Leadership, Governance, and Impact." Educational leaders, how do you see the role of education evolving in the post-pandemic world?
Cuyahoga Community College's Corporate College recently hosted executives from 100 Black Men of America, Inc., for their annual retreat. We’re proud to announce that we are exploring an opportunity to further partner with 100 Black Men of America through their Collegiate 100 program, a campus-based student organization that supports the development of the social, emotional and educational needs of youth who need positive role models. We can’t wait to see this program uplift our community!

Is there anything better than spending the day with counselors? This week our team was in Denver with school counselor corps grantees talking ICAP, blurring counseling domains- social emotional, academic and career & exploring work based learning and other interventions Some of the things we heard: -How do we get to career advising when we have students not getting basic needs met? -How do our counselors connect better with CTE teams to get exposed to trends in the labor market? -How do we address barriers to accessing work based learning? -How do we know we’re reaching students that need in school career development the most? -How do we start career interventions earlier so that students see themselves in top jobs? And what are they already doing? -Bringing employers in as a partner in planning WBL -Connecting student interests with their academic and career goals -Bringing parents and families into the conversation

The man of Greatness is a man of Service! Service is not demotion. Service is not deviation. Service will open doors that your skills cannot. Recently, one of my posts went viral, reaching over 3000 people and becoming my best-performing post yet. It was about my National Service Scheme (NSS) experience and the parameters I had set for myself. Midweek sevice at church,I was deeply moved by the message of service and what it does to you and for you. I learned what service truly means. Service teaches you humility, wisdom, honor, discipline, self-control, and so much more. I've been contemplating which company to join for my national service, considering the parameters I had set. I found my answer: I want a place where I can serve. A place where I can be in the background yet play a pivotal role. I'm not seeking recognition; I want my work to speak for itself. Do you know of any companies looking for a dedicated student ready to learn and serve? Please link me up! Remember, the way up is down! #Service #Humility #Learning #NationalService #NSS #CareerGrowth #LinkedInJourney #LinkedIn #different
