Portraying nutritional information to non-nutritionists can be a challenge. It’s easy to get frustrated if they don’t understand the simple things. Remember, you have the qualifications. The big science words are fantastic in the classroom, but simple, easy-to-read words are fantastic in the real world. Most people skim through what they read and completely switch off if what they’re reading is too complicated. Make it easy for your clients and prospective market to understand your messaging. The ones who need your help may not realize it. A simple trick is to use everyday analogies. ▶ For example, think of hypertension as a blocked garden hose under too much pressure. People understand things they know!
