If you lodge a claim on one of your policies, understanding how the system works can make the process smoother and less stressful. So, what are the steps? It’s their job to determine whether you are eligible for a settlement and, if so, what that settlement should comprise. #4 Accept the settlement If your claim is accepted, the insurer will offer you a settlement in accordance with the terms of your policy. This may include repairing or replacing damaged property, reimbursing expenses, or providing financial compensation for your losses.
