FireFly Metals Ltd (ASX:FFM) is gearing up for a resource update at the Green Bay Copper-Gold Project in Canada after striking broad intersections of high-grade #copper in drilling around the project’s main resource target. Notable intersections included a very wide result of 46.4 metres at 5.6% copper equivalent (4.6% copper, 1.2 g/t #gold, 7.5 g/t #silver) from 227.3 metres of depth as well as a smaller, very high-grade result of 2.7 metres at 19.4% copper equivalent (13.5% copper, 7.0 g/t gold, 33.0 g/t silver) from 280.8 metres. Importantly, this latest round of drilling also extended the known volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralisation at the Green Bay resource by a further 350 metres down plunge. Cooper Metals Ltd (ASX:CPM) has established a strong foundation to grow the #copper bounty at the Mount Isa East Copper-Gold Project in northwest Queensland. Recently, a number of new prospects, including Brumby Ridge, Raven and Mafic Sweats South, have provided further signs of the project’s discovery potential. Brumby Ridge has emerged as a shining light after RC drilling in the December quarter of 2023 produced bonanza-grade copper. One reverse circulation (RC) drill hole, 23MERC028, returned 71 metres at 2.8% copper and 0.05 g/t #gold from 115 metres to the end of hole, including 24 metres at 5.4% copper and 0.10 g/t gold from 115 metres. Concerns about ground instability arising from high frequency percussive DTH & Top Down HAMMER drilling, its safety and logging accuracy led our client to the smart, environmentally conscious decision to opt for Geoinvestigate's less destructive, safer, small volume full water flush, higher sensitivity rock profiling, rotary Microdrilling system. On describing the difference between the two percussive hammer drilling was likened to c1800s amputation by hacksaw vs modern day keyhole microsurgery with Geoinvestigate's Microdrill. C29 Metals Ltd (ASX:C29) has intersected visible copper-iron sulphides in the form of chalcopyrite in a maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Mayfield Copper-Gold Project in the Mt Isa Inlier of northwest Queensland. Seven RC holes were completed over 2,488 metres, with three holes returning what C29 describes as “substantial downhole widths of visible chalcopyrite mineralisation” within a larger redrock alteration halo. Redrock alteration is a typical feature of iron ore-copper-gold (IOCG) systems, where sulphide mineralisation follows the same paths as copper-gold mineralisation. The best result was from hole MFRC008, which appears to have visual chalcopyrite vein concentrations of 10% at shallow depths of less than 60 metres downhole. Cooper Metals Ltd (ASX:CPM) has confirmed the presence of strong #copper mineralisation with assays from drilling at the Brumby Ridge Copper-Gold Prospect within the Mt Isa East Copper-Gold Project in northwest Queensland. Four diamond and five reverse circulation (RC) holes were completed in February and March this year, grading up to 58 metres at 0.53% copper and 0.02 g/t gold with a high-grade component of 3 metres at 4.14% copper and 0.08 g/t gold from 90 metres. Copper says the drilling results confirm the visual sulphides observed in April and indicate a north-northwest (NNW) trend to the copper-gold mineralised vein system, which stretches over 400 metres – only 120 metres have been drill tested so far. We've received further assay results from the diamond drilling program at our Cleveland Tin Project in Tasmania, confirming the intersection of tungsten mineralisation and additional “untargeted” tin-copper mineralisation. Drill hole C2124/C2124A, drilled to a depth of 1,122m, tested for extensions to the tungsten Mineral Resource within the highly prospective Foleys Zone. Significant intercepts include 1.1m @ 1.64% WO₃ from 702.3m and 1.09m @ 0.76% Sn and 0.77% Cu from 389.47m. Further assay results are pending and will be reported soon. Managing Director Joe David commented, “We’ve confirmed some encouraging tungsten mineralisation as we enter the start of the targeted Foleys Zone which has ~420m of visual tungsten mineralisation as reported last week. The company is looking forward to the receipt of the next batches of assays as the tungsten mineralisation moves deeper from this transition zone into the main target area.” “In addition, we have intersected further new zones of tin & copper mineralisation, this is in addition to the previously intersected by drill hole C2124 which was announced in July. “Both of these results continue to display the highly mineralised ground that is the Cleveland Tin Project." Kodiak Copper Corp. (TSX-V:KDK) has reported more positive results from the 2023 drill program at its MPD copper-gold porphyry project in southern British Columbia. The company said the initial two drill holes at the South Zone have significantly extended porphyry mineralization and linked historic shallow copper at the South and Mid Zones with a near continuous mineralized intercept in new drilling. One drill hole intersected 0.32% copper equivalent (CuEq) over 234 meters from bedrock surface, within a broader zone of 0.17% CuEq over 1,053 meters, stretching from 9 to 1062 meters downhole. Together with another hole, the company said the results confirmed copper mineralization along 900 meters of strike and from surface to over 775 meters depth. Kingston Resources Limited (ASX:KSN) has confirmed the presence of a new #copper discovery in the Southern Ore Zone (SOZ) less than 200 metres from existing underground development at the Mineral Hill Project in central New South Wales. Drilling generated results of up to 21 metres at 1.49% #copper equivalent from 254 metres and a particularly high-grade section of 2 metres at 6.37% copper equivalent from 255 metres. The new discovery mirrors a recent similar target at the SOZ footwall, confirming the continuity of the mineralised structure there. On November 1, 2023, Kingston announced a near-mine discovery in drill hole KSNDDH017, which returned a high-grade intersection within a new lode of 12 metres at 3.41% copper equivalent (CuEq) from 405 metres.
