Interesting read. Like many, I'm excited in how these technologies can be utilized, but we might need to pump the brakes a bit. "Advantages of using LLMs are attributed to their capacity in data analysis, information provisioning, support in decision-making or mitigating information loss and enhancing information accessibility. However, our study also identifies recurrent ethical concerns connected to fairness, bias, non-maleficence, transparency, and privacy. A distinctive concern is the tendency to produce harmful or convincing but inaccurate content."

A medical record is a history of someone’s health. If you have visited a doctor then a medical record is linked to you which you can request where it contains the following data: 🧬 Personal Information 🧬 Medical History 🧬 Medications 🧬 Lab Results 🧬 Vital Signs 🧬 Immunisation Record These records are valuable and each person is different in terms of genomes, bloody types and conditions. QuanMed AI allows users to upload their medical data anonymously and monetise it for researchers and institutions to conduct research on. This is the web3 approach of being in control of your own data.

This is going to be a journey, for all of us to get used to AI/ML.
I'm linking to this article today to show how public perception can be manipulated when news media doesn't do its homework. This article gets so many of its facts wrong (e.g., difference between Health IT and medical devices, Troy Tazbaz's role and affiliation, state of current AI-related FDA guidance, FDA's regulatory authority, the point of articles it references, the nature of the discussion regarding assurance labs, etc.) and yet its wide readership will likely give members of the public a warped sense of the current and future states of the regulatory landscape within healthcare and the life sciences. The real shame is that Politico's Agency IQ division, which focuses on regulatory issues within the life sciences, could have helped fact-check and improve the accuracy and overall message of the article. It's worth reading the article just to understand how events, quotes, and publications can be strung together to create an inaccurate narrative that drives public opinion. https://lnkd.in/g5xPdmSM

🎉 HELF is now officially 0.2 beta. Our Healthcare LLM is now proving its abilities not just in medical knowledge but also being able to navigate the intricacies of medical ethics. Our latest tests show it can adeptly handle sensitive scenarios, like when a patient may have a terminal illness but the family requests withholding the information (something that Asian doctors always have to deal with). Proud of the innovative strides. I believe HELF will benefit not only clinicians but also others in the wider health & wellness industry. #HELF #AI #LLM #HealthTech #Health #Healthcare #ArtificialIntelligence
