As an Alumna I have have recommended candidates for jobs that also had AmeriCorps service experience. It does make a difference.
This is fantastic! I will follow-up with Sonali to see if can get 15 minutes to provide a briefing on Colorado Youth Corps Association's "Careers in Natural Resources Initiative" which illuminates the pathways to post-service careers in the natural resource sector. The initiative is statewide with more than 200 stakeholders and some amazing resources we're creating with a $100k grant from BLM and USFS
Great event, I was a 3 term member in 2017 and 2018. Americorps helped me secure the employment I currently have.
What is the best avenue to report back successes with this new rule and new career pathway back to AmeriCorps? We would love to hear about breakthroughs other programs have in members going AmeriCorps-to-career and have them learn from us!
