#ParentingWithSUD 🤱🏽💔💪🏽 As behavioral health professionals, we understand the unique challenges faced by parents struggling with substance use disorder (SUD). The journey is filled with trials and tribulations, often leaving parents feeling overwhelmed and alone. That's why at Avery Lane, we've created an in-depth blog post https://arshare.co/8IY9o that you can utilize as a resource for your clients. This blog post provides insights into the complexities of parenting with SUD, the impact on family dynamics, and the importance of seeking professional help. 🌈🙌🏽💙 Our blog highlights the significance of self-care and the need for parents to put on their own "oxygen masks" before they can effectively care for their children. It also underscores the role of harm reduction strategies and various treatment programs in managing SUD while maintaining parental responsibilities. Remember, it's okay for your clients to seek help and encourage them to do so. We must foster a culture of empathy and understanding, promoting self-care, and breaking the stigma around SUD. If your clients need additional support, they can reach out to us at (800) 270-2406. We're here to help. 🤗💚🕊️ #averylane #SUD #mentalhealthprofessionals

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) both lead to challenges in identifying and understanding emotions. However, there's often a notable difference between the two. While many children with ASD may prefer solitude and struggle with deeper emotional connections, children with FASD are often very sociable and eager to form emotional bonds. They simply lack the understanding of how to navigate these connections, akin to having a scattered blueprint for relationships. Teaching is key in helping them build these connections effectively. #FASD #ASD #EmotionalConnections #LearningThroughTeaching
