Quality happens when we have a system that can bring all its component parts seamlessly together – the evidence-based practices, the use of data for decision making, the well-trained nurses and doctors, the ready availability of drugs and equipment, the referral systems that work quickly, and, most importantly, a culture of care and respect for the people who this system was designed for. Will this bring about quality? What else is missing?

The specialty of ID is a vibrant, expansive, and constantly changing field. When the world changes, ID must change, and this in turn leads to new opportunities for growth, job satisfaction, and fair compensation. At least in Argentina, due to managed care policies, an ID specialist with 30 years of experience has the same medical fee as a recently trained fellow. On the other hand, as we don´t perform paid medical procedures we are just relying on incredibly low fees defined by private and public health authorities (incredibly this is a medic vs medic scenario, since most of these authorities are physicians). If we want more ID specialists in our countries, then we need to improve training plans and have well-paid IDs.

Undergoing a medical procedure can be overwhelming for many patients. Paramedical staff require exceptional soft skills to answer patient queries, have good bedside manners and put patients at ease for an overall positive experience. Poor soft skills may leave patients feeling stressed and uncomfortable while a high standard of service can open the door to word of mouth referrals and positive reviews and testimonials. Train your team in essential soft skills with SCOPE's short term course on communication skills and personality development. . #SCOPE #EmergencyResponse #Team #Technicians #PatietntCare #MedicalEducation #Awareness #Paramedics #EmergencyCare #MedicalCare #Partnership #CommunicationSkills #AdvanceTraining #IndustryStandards

Digital Clinical Safety Officer (CSO)| Medical Device Regulation (ISO/IEC) | AI Consultant | Pharmacist | Health tech Founder | NHS Clinical Entrepreneur | Micro Angel Investor
I completed my first set of Pharmacy First consultations last week. I worked in a busy late night pharmacy and got to see my fair share of patients. It’s brilliant that this service has opened up access to these conditions for certain patient cohorts. As a clinical safety officer and independent prescriber who has been working in acute care for a few years, I find the pharmoutcomes technology provided extremely inefficient and borderline unsafe. The pharmacy first training provided by CPPE has been brilliant, however the lowest form of risk control for patient safety is training. The highest is through changes in the technology. When the system is running (temperamental) Community pharmacists across England with a range of expertise and abilities are required to triage patients by following an awful flow chart (see photo), whilst consulting with patients and taking observations. I have worked with multiple health technology companies and risk is always higher when the technology is not fit for purpose. It would be ideal for EMIS and the NHS commissioning body to revaluate the Pharmoutcomes technology. If an independent consultant is needed please contact me (https://lnkd.in/eB-cmJEJ). In the meantime I have built a triage tool for patients to find out if they’re are eligible for the service: Try the beta version here: https://lnkd.in/eegB4gs4 In addition to guided Pharmacy First templates to minimise risk and ensure patient safety. If you would like access to these please DM me your email address. It would be interesting to know everyone’s thoughts. It is integral to empower our community to deliver safe and effective care. #pharmacy #clinicalsafety #communitypharmacy #pharmacyfirst #fullstackdevelopment Tas Bhatti Ghalib Khan Darren Powell Rahul Singal Shahzad Ahmad Wasim Baqir Leyla Hannbeck Tanzil Parkar Salim Jetha Hema Jetha Reena Barai Usheer Patel Tariq Muhammad Anne Joshua Claire Anderson Shilpa Shah Mark Anyaegbuna Gary Warner
