Today, we’d like to introduce the Ultraviolet Fluorescence Method (#UVF ), this measuring principle used in the Sulfur Dioxide Monitor APSA-380, which was released this January. ＜Ultraviolet Fluorescence Method (UVF)＞ The gas analyzer using UVF flows a sample gas into a fluorescence cell, the #fluorescence of #SO2 caused by the UV radiation, this fluorescence selectively passes through an optical filter and detected by a photodetector to measure the gas concentration. Our article regarding the calorimetric evidence of an intermediate phase between the nematic and the ferroelectric nematic phases of RM734 has just come out in Physical Review E,110(1): 014703 (2024). High-resolution adiabatic scanning calorimetry can detect this intermediate liquid-crystalline (Nx) phase along a short temperature range of ~ 1.1 K and a minute transition heat for N-Nx (< 5 mJ/g). Understanding Few Antenna Parameters: EIRP: Effective Isotropic Radiated Power is a Measured Radiated Power in a Beam Peak Direction. EIRP is a single directional Measurement. TRP: Total Radiated power is a metric to find out Antenna Efficiency. TRP is a multi-directional measurement, Radiated Power is measured in all possible Az and El angles, TRP is calculated from all the Measurements. Efficiency(dB): Efficiency(dB) = TRP(dBm) – Conducted Power(dBm) Efficiency is affected by losses and VSWR of an Antenna. Directivity(dBi): Direcitvity is a Ratio of Peak EIRP to TRP of an antenna. Directivity(dBi) = Peak EIRP(dBm) – TRP(dBm) Gain(dBi): Gain of an Antenna is Ratio of Peak EIRP to the Conducted Power. Gain of Antenna represents increase in Radiated Power over Isotropic Radiator. Gain(dBi) = Peak EIRP(dBm) – Conducted Power(dBm)

In this study, a highly sensitive light-induced thermoelectric spectroscopy (LITES) sensor based on a multi-pass cell (MPC) with dense spot pattern and a novel quartz tuning fork (QTF) with low resonance frequency is reported. An erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) was employed to amplify the output optical power so that the signal level was further enhanced. When the optical power was constant at 1000 mW, the minimum detection limit (MDL) of the C2H2-LITES sensor can be achieved 48.3 ppb when using the commercial QTF and 24.6 ppb when using the trapezoidal-tip QTF. High-frequency (HF) current probes play a crucial role in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. Tristen Boeckx from Wurth Elektronik has identified the sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI) using a DIY-high-frequency current probe. This enables effective detection and quantification of interference currents, which are displayed on the R&S FPL spectrum analyzer.
