Here are the key takeaways: 🛍️ Sales Highlights: California and New York lead the pack with impressive sales figures of $457,688 and $310,876, respectively. 💰 Profit Leaders: California, New York, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky emerge as the top states driving profits in the retail sector. 🚚 Shipping Insights: Standard class shipping mode dominates profitability, while same-day shipping shows room for improvement. 🏙️ Regional Impact: Cities like Washington, Indiana, Michigan, and Georgia stand out for driving higher profits in the retail landscape. 🎯 Segment Analysis: The consumer segment takes the lion's share, contributing 49.50% of profits, followed by corporate (30.91%) and home office (19.59%). 🔍 Areas for Growth: We identified opportunities to optimize shipping methods, target marketing efforts, and enhance operational efficiency to drive higher profitability. 🌟 Inspiring the Next Generation at the University of Manchester! 🌟 It was such an honor to speak with the bright and ambitious students at the University of Manchester, where I had the chance to share insights on two topics close to my heart: 1️⃣ The Power of Early Internships- especially through amazing initiatives like the 10,000 Black Interns. There’s nothing quite like getting hands-on experience early in your career. 2️⃣ The Value of Data in Today’s World- #Data is the new currency. Whether in business, science, or everyday life, being able to understand and leverage data can unlock doors to innovation and success. 😁 The energy and curiosity in the room were contagious! It's clear that this generation is ready to embrace the future with open arms, and I’m excited to see how they will shape the world. 💡 To anyone considering applying for an internship, especially through programs like #10kBlackInterns, take the leap. 3 Things My Interns Taught Me This Year: -Support Their Boundary-Setting: Notice those small moments where they work past fear of disappointing you or anyone else in order to set a boundary, and celebrate that moment! That moment may have taken so much energy to work up to, so let them know you value their effort in doing so. There are too many of us who struggle with setting boundaries, so it is always a great moment when our young people test this out. -Assume the Best: Okay, I already knew this, but I am always appreciative of those moments when you assume anyone you are working with has great intention when something does not go perfectly, and then you find out context that you were correct. We all just want to do our best! -Prioritize Space for Creative Freedom: If it were not for this, allowing my interns to have some decision-making power in how we navigate certain strategies, we would not have been able to create such meaningful connections with students on this campus. So thank you to my interns, enjoy the remainder of your summer, and I will see you in the Fall!
