Optica High-Brithness Sources and Light Driven Interactions Congress  https://lnkd.in/dGZGp3nR The congress presented several topics related to the latest advances in #midIR laser technologies. The section "Mid-Infrared Coherent Sources (#MICS)" presented particularly interesting talks related to the topics of interest to the CAVS Research Group. Mid-IR spectra provide spectroscopic fingerprints of samples, which can be exploited for the identification and quantification of target analytes in many different application scenarios. Read our most recent, invited paper, entittled "Experimental Investigation of a Recurrent Optical Spectrum Slicing Receiver for Intensity Modulation/Direct Detection systems using Programmable Photonics" in Journal of Lightwave Technology. The paper experimentally shows the equalization of 64 Gb/s (32 Gbaud PAM-4) signals using a photonic accelerator enabled by recurrent optical spectrum slicing in programmable photonics.
