🔍 New Study Alert! Our latest research in AoH dives into the relationship between fatty liver disease criteria and chronic kidney disease (CKD)! 📊🔬 🎯 Key Insights: 1️⃣ Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) criteria outperform metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) criteria in predicting CKD risk. 2️⃣ Among participants, MAFLD showed a higher prevalence of CKD and albuminuria compared to MASLD. 3️⃣ Individuals with MAFLD had a 4.73-fold greater likelihood of having prevalent CKD than those with MASLD after adjustments. 💡 Conclusion: MAFLD criteria are more effective in identifying CKD risk, suggesting a need to reconsider MASLD criteria. 🚀 Discover more about this crucial research!
