Given the varied ways in which individuals experience diseases, it becomes imperative that clinical trials ardently pursue inclusivity, encompassing a broad spectrum of demographics and lived experiences. This commitment is pivotal to ensuring that the advancements of modern science benefit everyone equitably.
Even if the study isn’t specifically targeting an underrepresented or minority population, improving diverse participant representation should still be part of the standard plan, right? After all, improved DE&I initiatives in clinical trials = better health outcomes for everyone. 🤝 Increasing underrepresented populations in clinical research is incredibly important for securing diverse data and learning about potential genetic or biological differences and their impact on drug efficacy.
