📣 📣Make your catch-ups worth it... "Of course I'd love to catch up to shoot the breeze - I have so much spare time..." - said no business owner ever!! A few weeks back I had an embarrassingly overdue catch-up with Cam Sinclair and Jack Hallam from Ammo Marketing to give them a belated high-five on their 10 year anniversary (WHAT??? I Know!!!) and to generally see what is happening in their world. You know you're in good company when 2 hours have passed and you've covered how it's feeling in the business environment, new opportunities and hustles, travel and even a bit of politics! I am very selective where I spend my time outside of the office and prefer to do small groups or 1:1s to get the most out of the time and really be present to build meaningful connections. As an introvert I would rather stick a rusty pin in my eye than go to a networking sundowner 🤮 BUT I really do love catching up with folks who are from the same tribe and doing good things for our business community. The Ammo story is also a favourite of mine - started by Cam Sinclair with a model that disrupted the 'agency' industry in a space for startups. Since then the team have pivoted, morphed, diversified, done a few handstands and are still going strong 10 years later.
