Dubai’s Arabian Travel Market to welcome 41,000 visitors this year Dubai: The 31st edition of Dubai’s annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) event is expected to welcome 41,000 visitors this year, organizers have said. ATM, set to take place from May 6 to 9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), will be participated by over 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries. Did you know that - IT4T Solutions is participating in ATM Dubai 2024, it is a world-leading travel technology company. Organizers said the number of participating hotel brands for ATM 2024 has increased by 21 percent year-on-year, with a 58 percent rise in new travel technology products showcased. “There are upticks across all key verticals, with year-on-year growth across all regions, including ME 28 percent, Asia and Europe 34 percent, and Africa 26 percent,” said the organizers. Highlights from Arabian Travel Market 2024 ✈️🏝️ The 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre earlier this month and the event showcased the dynamic growth and innovation within the travel and tourism industry in the region.  Here are some of the regional news highlights we picked up. ✈️New Destinations by FlyDubai:  FlyDubai announced new routes to Basel, Switzerland, and the Baltic states, connecting Dubai to more untapped markets. This expansion opens up fresh travel opportunities for both residents and tourists. 🌅Dubai's Commitment to Safety and Growth:  Hoor Al Khaja, Senior VP of International Operations at Dubai Tourism, emphasised Dubai's commitment to safety and security, in order to appeal to families and solo travellers alike. The Dubai Economic Agenda “D33” aims to double the city's GDP by 2033, enhancing its global competitiveness and sustainable practices. 🤝Record-Breaking Attendance:  ATM 2024 reported a 15% year-on-year increase in attendees, with over 46,000 industry professionals from 160+ countries. This turnout underscores the resilience and momentum of the travel sector. 🏨Hospitality's Expansion:  Mark Kirby, Head of Emaar Hospitality, shared impressive growth figures, with an 8% increase in RevPAR compared to 2023. Emaar continues to expand its portfolio, with new openings in Creek Harbour and beyond. This performance is an indicator of similar growth across the industry in this region.
