𝐄𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐏??🤔 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭?? 𝐀𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐏???🤨 𝐍𝐨𝐨!! An Elastic IP (EIP) in #aws is like having a special, unchanging #address for your virtual stuff (like a website or an app). Imagine if every time you turned off your computer, it got a new phone number. That'd be annoying, right? Well, EIPs stop that from happening with your virtual things on Amazon. Here's why it's cool: 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐞: Your EIP stays the same even if you switch your virtual #machine on and off. So, it's like having a #virtual address that never changes. 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡: If one of your virtual machines has a problem, you can quickly give its EIP to another one. It's like a #backup plan that keeps things running smoothly. 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐟𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮: If your virtual stuff talks to other things using a name (like a website or an online game), having a consistent EIP is handy. It's like making sure your friends can always find you. 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥: Just a heads up – keeping an EIP costs a bit. So, it's a #good idea to only use one when you really need it. If you're not using it, it's like keeping a phone number you don't need – it could cost you. #awscloud #fundamentals #cloud Rahul Maheshwari #linkedincommunity #linkedinfamily #connections
