India is set to add 3,37,900 MW of power capacity by 2032, which will increase its existing capacity. India has made significant growth in this sector in the last decade. This growth will come from a mix of thermal, hydroelectric, nuclear and renewable energy sources. Total generation capacity to increase by 79.5% from 248,554 MW in March 2014 to 446,190 MW in June 2024. Of the total anticipated capacity addition, there will be 80,000 MW thermal, 25,010 MW hydro, 14,300 MW nuclear and 50,760 MW pumped storage plant (PSP) capacity. Additionally, 510 MW of small hydro capacity is expected to be added by 2032, along with 143,980 MW of solar power and 23,340 MW of wind power. #power #thermalpower #india #renewableenergysources
